THE Soiree.Ü

Well, for once, this is going to be a happy but short(?) post.Ü

The soiree yesterday was the very best I've ever had. Or, based on the responses I've recieved, one of the best our class has had. For me, it could be described in 2 words. IT ROCKED!

At first, the guys and girls assembled in different groups, each individual unsure of what he/she was going to do. BUT, thanks to Cynthia, our offical MC and gracious host, it worked out and he interaction began. It was justt fun. Some people were teased because of their names.. ("Jobim ba?! Bimbo!! *laughs*) some did small talk, ("Nags-soccer ka?! ako rin!"), and others learned that it was a small world... ("Hmmmm, Chatmate?Chatmate! *apir*)

After a few games, (games? haha!:p) we ate a little pizza, and drank a little coke and funchum. During this break, some guys and girls were trying out the instruments "scattered" around the venue.. and some of the girls were good. Then again, some of us were also good. Balanced!:)
The first classband that played was "k-squared" composed of Jobim, Clarence, Mikko (who didn't get to go), Chux, and King. They played "Sulat", "Ulan", "Cigarrete", and others... They were OK.Ü

The next, (in saving the BEST for last!!!:D) was "Chalklit", composed of Enzo[drummer], Sprix [lead guitarist], Bibo[vocals], and Brian[base]... THEY BROUGHT THE HOUSE DOWN. They played and made both guys and girls scream and sing along. Yeah! They were kings.Ü Angas. Pero Astig. EVERYONE felt like we were all in a real gig, and well, hell yeah, it sounded like a real gig. Like I said, Angas nga, pero astig.

The very last performance, was the Vocals of "K-Squared" along with the rest of "Chalklit" minus Bibo. And guess what they played?

"AAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSTTTTTTRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" And it was a fitting closing "song".:) The bands played well, the food was OK, and the interaction worked fine.Ü

IT WAS ONE HECK OF A GREAT NIGHT.

Highlights during the soiree:::

*Me wanting to bite Adi's head off.-He kept on telling me not to be uhm... torpe.-_-

*Akiko screaming during the Chalkit's performance "Ang Galing!! Astig! Adik!!" and "Idol!" But come to think of it... who wasn't?!Ü nahawa nga ko..:))

*Johanne Doing the back bend stunt.\m/

*Ej arriving wearing the pink shirt. and using the pink fan...:))

*Erika coming up to me, saying my name and last name, then telling me kilala nya pala si Anne.Ü

*King aking me to get the number of ***. Kasi raw crush nya! Nako!:))

*Enzo doing his AMAZING drum solo. ASTIG.

*SORT OF jamming (labo..^ ^ basta. we played the guitars.:p) between Me, King, Vince, Adi, Jobim, etc, and Akiko and Kaygee.Ü

*Some girls calling Bibo "Bading", then him answering back, "Bakit? Bakit? Bakit ako sumagot?" Haha!:))

The soiree was a success... Well, it should be because I helped plan it.:p Joke.^ ^ Maybe we'll have another soiree with their class. If ever, Hopefully, it will be better than the soiree we just had.Ü

Though I payed for most of what SHOULD have been payed for by the class, I was OK with that. IT was worth seeing the laughing, the teasing, the smiles of joy on each of the guy's and girl's faces. I didn't mind. Kahit ako pa nagbayad. If given the choice, I'd do it again.Ü Seeing people doing what I find hard to do, enjoying themselves, is very fulfilling to me. IT WAS WORTH IT.

So I'm here signing off with an empty wallet, a tired body, a stressed mind, but with a full heart and a contented soul.

best viewed in 1024 X 768 resolution. a brief history about the author pertaining to the theme of shadow of transcendence. it came about in the wee hours of the early morning while being whisked away into memories of the past etched deep within the mind. bittersweetness that tingled the tastebuds of my emotions and feelings, the only way out for true liberation from this reality is what is behind the shadow of transcendence; suicide. the taste of iron-rust blood coiled with the lingering bittersweetness is the only contemplation of which the simplicity of life has to offer in exchange for the shadow of transcendence. made in the heavens through one creator, an angel borne to serve man; fell from where it belonged to earth where its purity shadowed by boredom and nohing better to do.
